In a parallel strategic initiative, Comstock announced on June 22 a major divestment of its mineral and mining assets to Mackay Precious Metals, a subsidiary of Mackay Gold & Silver Corp. This transaction, valued at over $45 million, includes more than $30 million in cash and stock payments, a retained 1.5% Net Smelter Return (NSR) royalty, and the assumption of all reclamation obligations by Mackay. Comstock also anticipates an additional contingent future payment of $10 million.
