In other news from the global entertainment landscape, CJ ENM Hong Kong has finalized a deal to license a collection of six Thai drama series to Amazon MX Player in India. These series, all adaptations of popular Korean originals, are set to launch on July 2. Produced by True CJ Creations, the package offers a diverse array of genres, including romance, drama, thriller, and sci-fi, featuring titles such as 'Dear My Secretary,' 'Good Doctor,' '23:23,' 'Start-Up,' 'Happiness,' and 'Thank You Teacher.'

These six series will be available with Hindi dubbing and English subtitles on Amazon MX Player's ad-supported platform. Viewers will also be able to access the content through the Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, JioTV, and Airtel Xstream. This agreement highlights CJ ENM Hong Kong's strategic focus on expanding its reach through format adaptations and international collaborations, capitalizing on the growing global appetite for Korean intellectual property and Southeast Asian content.

Furthermore, the U.K. premiere of 'Jane Eyre,' a musical crafted by John Caird and Paul Gordon based on Charlotte Brontë's classic novel, has announced its complete cast. The production will run at Southwark Playhouse Elephant from August 28 to October 24. Charlie Burn and Ashley Gilmour, previously announced, will star as Jane and Rochester, respectively. They will be joined by a talented ensemble including Claire Greenway, Melad Hamidi, Connor Wood, Jonathan Andrew Hume, Izzi Levine, Hannah Lindsey, Isabelle Methven, Gemma Page, Eve Shanu-Wilson, Poppy Jason, and Emily-Rose Samuel.

John Caird, who previously co-directed the original 'Les Misérables' and recently helmed the stage adaptation of 'Spirited Away' at the London Coliseum, will co-direct the production with Broadway's Megan McGinnis. This five-time Tony-nominated musical, which first premiered in Toronto in 1996 before its Broadway debut in 2000, will mark its 30th anniversary with this U.K. staging. Adam Blanshay Productions is producing the event in collaboration with the original Canadian producers, David and Hannah Mirvish.

Finally, the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre has confirmed the full cast for the 10th-anniversary production of Lucy Kirkwood’s play, 'The Children.' Directed by the theatre's artistic director, Rachel O’Riordan, the play will run from September 2 to October 3. Meera Syal, previously announced, will portray Hazel, with Declan Conlon cast as Robin and Kerry Fox making her Lyric Hammersmith debut as Rose.
