The Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose is currently inviting applications for its artist-in-residence program, offering an exciting opportunity for artists to engage with young visitors and inspire creativity. The selected artist will receive a monthly stipend ranging from $1,700 to $2,125 for the duration of the 17- to 18-week engagement, along with additional support for art supplies. Furthermore, participants will enjoy promotional exposure via the museum’s marketing channels and gain valuable documentation of their work through photographs and videos.
In addition to facilitating hands-on art experiences, the chosen artist will also have the chance to exhibit their personal creations within the museum’s gallery space. Meanwhile, in nearby Almaden, two Leland High School students celebrated success at NUMU Los Gatos’ annual ArtNow exhibition, showcasing their innovative interpretations of "Dreamscapes" alongside other talented Santa Clara County youth.
